Last night, Jessica Posner won VH1’s “Do Something Award” for the project she co-founded with Kennedy Odede (Wesleyan ’12). That project supports health and education for girls and women in Kibera, Kenya.

This is not the first prize they have won for their project.
Kennedy received an Outstanding Commitment Grant from the Clinton Global University this summer.
Both Kennedy and Jessica were named Echoing Green Fellows.
Earlier this year they were awarded $50,000 when they won the Dell Social Innovation Competition and a $53,000 grant from Newman’s Own Foundation.
